Indian Pistol Team Clinches Gold in 10m Air Pistol Team Shooting at Hangzhou Asian Games

Sarabjot Singh, Arjun Singh Cheema, and Shiva Narwal achieved a remarkable feat by securing a gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol Team shooting event at the Asian Games in Hangzhou. India’s shooting prowess continued to shine at the Fuyang Yinhu Sports Centre.

Following an exceptional performance on Wednesday that resulted in seven medals, including two golds, Indian pistol shooters extended their impressive run with a fourth gold medal.

The trio of Sarabjot Singh, Arjun Singh Cheema, and Shiva Narwal combined their skills to amass a total score of 1734, hitting the inner 10 circle a remarkable 50 times, ultimately clinching the gold medal. They edged out China, who scored 1733 with 62 hits, and Vietnam, with 1730 points and 59 hits.

The Indian team’s performance consisted of scores of 284 in the first series, followed by 287, 291, 294, 290, and 288 in the subsequent five series.

This victory marked India’s sixth gold medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games, solidifying their dominance in the shooting arena.
