NHRC Seeks Action Report on Sundargarh Street Incident

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has requested an action taken report (ATR) from the District Collector and Superintendent of Police in Sundargarh regarding the incident where a mother and daughter, aged around 27 and 45, were found walking naked on College Road, a bustling thoroughfare in Sundargarh town, on October 6. In response to a petition filed by advocate and human rights activist Radhakanta Tripathy, the NHRC has instructed the Collector and SP to provide the report within a four-week timeframe.
