Mysterious Illness: 20 Schoolgirls Were Hospitalised in Keonjhar

After eating their meals, 20 children staying at the Anwesha Hostel in the Keonjhar district were unwell. The girls, who ranged in age from 10 to 12, had attended a prayer meeting at school when they started to feel ill and displayed signs including vomiting, diarrhoea, and headaches. They were quickly taken for medical care to Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
Parents who are worried about their children are awaiting test results for clarification as to the exact cause of their ailment. An employee of the hostel, Manoj Nayak, claims that on that particular Friday, the students ate their breakfast of rice and dalma before going to class. They were admitted to DHH after showing signs of elevated fever after they got home from school.
