Concerns Over Exam Question Leaks: Odisha BSE Files Complaint with Cyber Police

1 min read

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in Odisha has taken action to address the issue of question paper leaks ahead of the Class-X High School and Madhyama Half Years Examination 2023, scheduled from October 4 to 7. In response to several instances of question papers being prematurely shared on social media, the BSE has officially lodged a complaint with the Cyber Police Station in Cuttack.

The BSE has urged the Cyber Police Station to thoroughly investigate the matter and take strict action against those found responsible for these illegal activities. The secretary of the BSE emphasized that the question papers for all subjects were distributed to district education officers (DEOs) on September 29, with clear instructions to ensure the secure conduct of the examinations.

The responsibility for conducting the examinations, evaluating answer sheets, and preserving marks lies with the respective schools. It’s important to note that these marks hold no weight in the AHSC/Madhyama exams, which will be conducted directly by the BSE(O) during February-March 2024. The BSE secretary expressed regret over the unfortunate situation of question leaks prior to the examination, which has been observed through certain YouTube links.
