BJP Issues Showcause Notice to Ramesh Bidhuri for Insulting Danish Ali in Lok Sabha
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken action against Ramesh Bidhuri for his offensive language directed at BSP MP Danish Ali during a late-night discussion in the Lok Sabha, according to party sources.
In response to the incident, party President J.P. Nadda has instructed the issuance of a showcause notice to Bidhuri, asking for his explanation.
During a discussion on the success of Chandrayaan-3 and India’s space program in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri used derogatory language towards BSP MP Danish Ali.
In response to the uproar caused by the opposition parties, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla removed Bidhuri’s objectionable remarks from the official records. Deputy Leader and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed regret for Bidhuri’s comments, stating that he had not personally heard the offensive remarks. Nevertheless, if Bidhuri’s words had offended the sentiments of the BSP MP, he expressed his regret, and the comments were to be expunged from the House’s proceedings.
On Friday, opposition parties shared excerpts from Bidhuri’s speech in the Lok Sabha on social media platforms and demanded action against him.
Sources within the Lok Sabha have reported that the Speaker issued a stern warning to Bidhuri about his offensive language, cautioning that further such behavior would result in strict action against him.
