Large-Scale Income Tax Raids Sweep Through Bargarh District
Bhubaneswat: In a significant development, the Income Tax Department carried out extensive raids across approximately 80 locations within Bargarh district today. These coordinated operations were initiated in response to allegations of substantial tax evasion attributed to the owner of an oil mill located on Sohela Road.
The Income Tax authorities executed search warrants at both the residence and farmhouse of the individual associated with the oil mill. Additionally, raids were conducted at the residences and business premises of the mill owner’s family members.
As of the time of this report, the search operations are still ongoing.
