A day after Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) national president Sharad Pawar warned the Ajit Pawar breakaway faction against using his photograph, the Shiv Sena (UBT) said on Thursday that the “confusion” created after the uncle-nephew meeting in Pune last week has ended. However, the Congress said the real picture will become clear after the NCP chief’s Beed rally scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
“Not only has Pawar warned the Ajit faction against using his picture, but he has also strongly asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in trouble and will not return to power in 2024. Therefore, the confusion that was created by his meeting with Ajit Pawar has ended.
Pawar, at a press conference on Wednesday, had said he would seek legal recourse if the Ajit Pawar faction did not stop using his picture on their banners and posters. Pawar also said that the atmosphere in the country was not favourable for Modi to return as Prime Minister after the 2024 elections.
