Thalapathy Vijay, one of Tamil cinema’s biggest names, will soon be seen in Leo. The film has created a great deal of buzz among fans as it is said to be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
The biggie will hit screens in multiple languages, which makes it a pan-India movie.
Producer Lalit Kumar has now revealed that Thalapathy did not Leo to be a pan-India movie. He instead advised the makers to come up with something for the ‘Tamil Makkal’.Leo is an action-thriller, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
VIJAY DID NOT WANT LEO TO BE A PAN-INDIA FILM
Vijay was not in favour of making Leo a pan-India movie as he wanted to focus on satisfying the Tamil audience. The star, however, changed his mind after producers Lalit and Jagadish convinced him. Some changes were also made to the original story to help the film cater to a wider audience.
Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj previously worked together in Master, which did well at the box office. Now, the two have reunited again for Leo.
Earlier, Gautham Menon revealed that he was a part of the film. Recently, filmmaker Mysskin said that he was left with a bloody mouth after shooting an intense fight scene with Vijay. He also praised Lokesh for not trying to tell actors how to ‘act’. The cast includes Priya Anand, Trisha, Arjun Sarja and Sanjay Dutt. The KGF Chapter 2 actor plays the villain in his first Tamil film. Leo will open in theatres on October 19.
