A woman in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal received as many as 118 stitches on her face during surgery after unidentified miscreants allegedly attacked her with a blade when she resisted sexual assault.
The incident took place in the TT Nagar area of Bhopal on Friday.
The victim works with a doctor. On Friday the woman had gone to a hotel with her husband when an altercation erupted between her and the accused over bike parking.
They started passing obscene comments at her while her husband was inside the hotel.
After tolerating their behaviour for a while, the woman confronted the accused and slapped one of the miscreants.
When people gathered after hearing the argument between the woman and the accused, the miscreants fled.
Later, when the woman left the market with her husband on a bike, one of these miscreants followed them and attacked the woman’s face with a sharp object.
