Boudh records highest temperature in Odisha, sizzles at 44.5°C

 Boudh has become the hottest place in Odisha, recording a maximum temperature of 44.5°C on Tuesday.

As many as 18 places in the state have recorded temperature above 40°C including Boudh at the top of the list with 44.5°C followed by Angul and Sonepur at the second place scorching at 43.5°C and Jharsuguda, Sundargarh and Balangir at the third place recording the maximum temperature of 43.0°C.

At the same time Capital city, Bhubaneswar saw the mercury rise to 39.0°C during the period.

Meanwhile the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued a ‘yellow warning’ for thunderstorm with lightning in several parts of the state. The warning will remain valid till May 8

However, As per IMD, there will be no large change in the maximum temperature over districts of Odisha during the next 4 to 5 days.
