Sweltering Heat Sweeps Odisha As 25 Places Record 40 Degrees Celsius Or Above

Blistering heat continued to throw life out of gear in Odisha as 25 places recorded maximum temperature 40 degrees Celsius or above today.

Roads in many places wore deserted look as residents preferred to stay in-doors. Those who were on roads were seen covering their face and head to prevent themselves from sunstroke.

There were less numbers of vehicles plying on roads as well. Crowd was seen mostly near sugarcane juice and lassi stalls.

As per the data provided by the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, the highest day temperature was recorded in Boudh at 45 degrees Celsius today.

The meteorological centre added Boudh has recorded the season’s highest temperature so far.
