Decision for 5 Senior Division Civil Courts in Odisha: Badamba-Narsinghpur approved for opening.
Badamba:28/04 (Shaktiswar Rana)-Decision by the High-Level Committee in five places in Odisha, including Badamba-Narsinghpur, to officially open a new senior civil court court in the current phase, were formallyLaw Secretary approved yesterday afternoon, MLA Devi Prasad Mishra said.
With the official approval being given ahead of Madhuban’s 175th birth anniversary and Lawyer’s Day, MLA Shri Mishra has directed the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Finance, the Secretary of the Law, the Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Badamba-Narsinghpur, Ranpur, Nayagarh district, The decision of the High Level Committee for Divisional Civil Courts was formally received yesterday evening.
In addition, eight districts in Odisha have been approved by the Additional District and Sessions Special Courts, four Commercial Courts, and 11 Junior Division Civil Courts. A sum of Rs 21.26 crore has been earmarked for these, including judges and staff. The matter is being re-assigned to another court.
It has been revealed that the lawyers’ union and the general public have long been urging legislators to set up a senior division sub-judge court in both Badamba and Narsinghpur. Doubts have been raised in some quarters that the high-powered committee meeting, which has been delayed for two years due to coronation, has been postponed for two years after the preliminary process of the investigation progressed.
The legislature congratulated the Badamba Bar Association on a special meeting. The meeting, chaired by President Santosh Behera, was attended by senior lawyers Shri Santosh Patnaik, Shri Kailash Jena, Bidhu Bhushan Mohanty, Shri Durga Prasad Sahu and staff members Shri Prasanna Mallick, Sailendra Mallick, Sharda Patnaik and other lawyers. The Narsinghpur Bar Association also thanked the legislator over the phone.
