There is a shortage of water in Khandesu village of Rayagada block Matikana panchayat.

Raigad – 27/04 – (Dhaneshwar 4 Raut) – The effects of the summer season on drinking water are severe. Even the administration seems to have failed to address this shortcoming. The implementation of the Mega Power Water Supply Scheme has been delayed for a long time, which is compounding the problem.

The problem is that the image is not working. It is better not to mourn Khandesu village in Matikana panchayat, Rayagada district headquarters block. The day after day, the girls of the village are flooded with water, and they are left to fend for themselves. Because the women of this village go to work, the girls in this village are in trouble, if they go to work, the stove burns at home or they are empty, and if they go to fetch water, the work is stopped. For the past two years, two wells in the village have been in a state of disrepair.

After two long years of appealing to the administration, no repairs have been made. The government’s water supply system has failed, with only 10 to 15 km from the city of Rayagada. The Khandesu villagers are appealing to the district commissioner to explain whether the water supply department is doing the job or not.

Saraka, Mohan Tadingi, Ram Tadingi, a villager from Kandesu village, said all the schemes and crores of rupees were coming to the tribals but the administration failed to provide drinking water and did not say anything else about the development.
