No ball controversy in last over DC VS RR match, Pant not happy with umpair.
In IPL 2022 once again fan got amazed with poor umpiring in DC vs RR match played yesterday in Mumbai Wankhede Stadium. The most shocking scene was DC was chasing a big total of 223 against RR and in last over DC required just 36 runs . The most interesting thing that happened is DC batter Rovman Powel hit three consucative sixes and collected 18 runs. Now DC was just 17 runs away from winning. The Jamaican slammed the first two balls of the over for a six and then the third ball as well for a maximum but the waist high full-toss that McCoy bowled as the third ball became a point of major contention. As soon as Powell slammed the third ball for a six, he immediately asked the umpire Nitin Menon for the delivery to be declared as a no ball. But the on-field umpires did not judge the waist high full-toss as a no ball and asked the batters to carry on.
Shocking scenes unfolded at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai during the final over. The on-field umpires — Nitin Menon and Nikhil Patwardhan, who faced the wrath of the Delhi Capitals outfit and the fans inside the stadium for what looked like a no ball gaffe. At that time game paused forabout four minutes but umpire did not take it as waist high over no ball. Then McCoy bowled last three ball and DC lost the match by 15 run. At this end DC captain Pant showed his frustration on bad umpiring other side RR captain Sanju Samson told it as a full toss.
Now the big question arasing is if there is higfy technology to check the wide and lbw, catch then why the wide or no ball can not be checked by the third umpire. At some time this can give more momentum and clarity to this game which is not happened till now.
