The state capital today recorded maximum temperature of 41.7 degree Celsius, the highest this summer so far.
On Friday, Bhubaneswar has recorded its highest maximum temperature of the season at 40.8 degree Celsius. While most of the business establishments in the city downed their shutters before noon, the busy streets in the city wore a deserted look due to heatwave conditions. Doctors advised to drink sufficient water and cover their heads with wet clothes while venturing outside.
“ Maximum temperature (day temperature) very likely to gradually rise by 3 to 5°C at many places over the districts of Interior Odisha and there will be no large change over Coastal Odisha during next 3 days and also no large change thereafter over the districts of Odisha,” said a Met official.
