Raigad – 18/04 (Dhaneshwar Raut) – A district level meeting was held today in Raigad district to collect Ravi Dhan-2021-22 in the conference room of the local District Rural Development Agency.
The meeting, chaired by District Magistrate Shri Saroj Kumar Mishra, was attended by Rayagada Deputy District Magistrate Shri Pratap Chandra Pradhan, District Supply Officer, Rayagada Shri Raj Kishore Panigrahi, Additional Supply Officer, Gunapur Shri Dev Brat Mohapatra, Sub-Divisional Supply Officer, CH Murali Krishak Rao. Prahraj, ARCSO, Raigad, farmers’ leaders, etc. participated in the discussion l.
The district supply officer presented the kharif paddy procurement target in detail. 175 farmers in the district registered for the kharif season, of which 18,932 metric tonnes were purchased from 14,132 farmers through 14 pax.
The government has yet to set a target for Raigad district for the current Rabi paddy.
This year, 42 farmers in the district have registered for the sale of rabidhan. The paddy will be procured from the registered farmers at 11 paddy procurement centers in the district. The district supply officer, Mr. Panigrahi, has stated that he will continue to do so until May 16, after seeing the paddy harvest.
