Overnight Special Investigation by the Department of Police and Transportation .
Subarnapur / 18/04 (Akshay Kumar Pujahari): On the instructions of the Transport Commissioner of the Government of Odisha, a special joint investigation was conducted by the police officers and the transport department personnel into driving under the influence of alcohol in Subarnapur district.
A total of 20 cases were identified during the special investigation, five driving licenses were suspended, 20 different vehicles were detained while 14 drivers were arrested, District Transport Officer Rabin Patnaik informed Subarnapur District Magistrate. The night special probe was conducted by RT and Ravin Patnaik, and under the direct supervision of SDPO Puspanjali Ningi, transport department officials and police officials conducted simultaneous district headquarters sub-divisions in the district and various block areas.
