As many as nine stations in Odisha recorded maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius and above on Saturday.
While Balangir was the hottest place with maximum temperature of 41.5 degree Celsius Jharsuguda was the second hottest place with maximum temperature of 41.4 degree Celsius. The other places which recorded maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius and more were Sonepur, Boudh, Talcher, Sambalpur, Angul, Baripada and Titlagarh.
“ There will be no large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during next five days over the districts of Odisha. It will be above normal by 2 to 3°C at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha during next 4-5 days,” said an official.
