Raigad-08 / 04- (Dhaneshwar Raut): – The District Child Protection Unit of the Rayagada District Administration, in collaboration with the District Information and Public Relations Department, is working through the ongoing campaign to prevent child marriage in the district and ensure child protection. Started.
It is learned that in collaboration with the Rayagada district administration and various departments, a campaign called “Efforts” has been launched to prevent child marriage and ensure child protection. The main goal of the campaign is to make all school-age children go to school, to build a child-free district, a child-free district and, above all, to make Rayagada a child-friendly district.
To this end, a district-level task force is being formed under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Shri Saroj Kumar Mishra. As part of the program, the District Child Protection Unit, in collaboration with the District Information and Public Relations Department, organized the awareness program through various cultural and artistic organizations in the district. The awareness program started today from Halua, Tadma and Pitamahal villages in Raigad block and Kumudabali village in Mukiguda block. The arts organizations will hold awareness programs in various villages in all 11 blocks of the district and the Anganwadi workers and ANMs will be involved in the awareness program, said Mr. Pradhan, District Information and Public Relations Officer.
The event was attended by District Information and Public Relations Officer Shri Basant Pradhan, District Child Protection Officer Shri Ramesh Chandra Nayak, District Social Welfare Officer Mrs. Yajnaseni Behera, Action Aid Child Marriage Prohibition Action Aid District Adviser Shri Ratneshwar Sahu. He explained the consequences to the villagers present.
