Senior Congress leader Tara Prasad Bahinipati on Thursday demanded for a change of guard in the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC).
He said an MLA should be appointed as the PCC president.
“I will certainly raise the issue and put forth this demand before the Odisha-in-charge and other officials of the party,” Bahinipati said.
Bahinipati said he has no problem if Jatani MLA Suresh Routray, Barabati Cuttack MLA Md Moquim or any other is appointed as PCC President.
But whosoever is chosen, he should be from among the elected MLAs, he said.
