Demands for the installation of a dialysis unit at the district’s main hospital
Sonepur (akshaya pujahari): A demand letter has been issued by the Change Group today besieging the local CDMO office to launch dialysis services at the Subarnapur District General Hospital. The district has thousands of kidney patients, and hundreds of people need dialysis every day.
However, both the central and state governments have developed the infrastructure to provide the service to each district main hospital and provided the necessary equipment and trained doctors. The Subarnapur District General Hospital also has a dialysis machine, while there is a trained doctor. A large number of kidney patients, led by senior lawyer Baldev Prasad Bedbak, led by senior lawyer Baldev Prasad Bedak, along with several kidney patients, staged a protest today at the CDM’s office.
Protesters have warned that the protests will continue until the dialysis service begins. Today’s agitation was called off after a written promise from the CDMO that the dialysis service be launched by the 8th of next month.
