The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has won three municipal councils in Subarnapur district
The BJD has won three Yak Municipal Council seats in Subarnapur district. In the Subarnapur municipal council, BJD mayoral candidate Tamsi Tamasmita Naik won by a margin of 357 votes over her nearest rival, Rajshri Dwivedi of the Congress. Out of the 15 wards of the municipal council, the BJD has won 12, the BJP two and the Congress one.Similarly, in the Tarbha NAC, BJD mayoral candidate Bandita Naik won by a margin of 28 votes over BJP candidate Shivani Seth, while BJD won 11 out of 12 wards and one independent candidate. In Binika NAC, BJD candidate Subhas Chandra Vhoi won by a margin of 2,912 votes over his nearest rival, BJP's Bishwamitra Vhoi.The BJD has won 11 of the 12 wards in Binika NAC and the BJP in one ward. The victorious candidates in Tarbha and Binika, including Subarnapur, marched on Vijay and congratulated the townspeople.
