Elections for Raigad Zilla Parishad chairman have been held
The newly-elected Zilla Parishad members were formally sworn in at the district commissioner's office under the chairmanship of Raigad district commissioner and district election officer Shri Saroj Kumar Mishra today as per the order of the state election commissioner. The nomination process for the post of Zilla Parishad chairman was later launched.Mrs. Saraswati Majhi, Member of Zilla Parishad No. 5, G Zone, Kashipur Block, was the only person who filed her nomination and was elected Chairman of Zilla Parishad. Mr. Rabinarayan Tripathi, Project Director, District Rural Development Agency, officially announced the name of the District Council Chairman.District Panchayat Officer Ramakrishna Gand, Sub-Divisional Panchayat Officer Suryanarayana Maharana, Badbabu Arun Kumar Padhi, Senior Revenue Assistant Suryanarayana Nayak and staff were present at today's swearing-in ceremony and election for the post of Zilla Parishad Chairman.
