Jhampinele Block Chairman, Independent Candidate Jhili Shabar wins from BJd
Elections were held today for the post of Gunupur, Padmapur, Gudari and Ramnaguda block presidents and chairpersons of the Gunupur sub-constituency. Gunupur's independent candidate Jhilli Shabar won by 11 votes over his nearest BJD candidate, Senimi Shabar.Jhali Shabar received 15 votes, while Senemi received only 4 votes, ending all speculations. On the other hand, in the last panchayat elections, the ruling BJP collapsed in two district council seats in Gunupur, while the Congress lost two zones. Similarly, in the Ramanguda block, Congress-backed candidate Ravi Shankar Gamang has won the post of chairman.BJD-backed candidate Manimala Shabar in Padmapur block and BJD-backed candidate Laxmi Shabar in Gudari block have been elected as block chairpersons. Today, all eyes are on the Gunupur block. While the BJD was biting the ground in the Zilla Parishad constituency here, the bloc was trying hard to get the post of chairman.However, Shiv Prasad Gaud, a former NAC president from Gunupur and a former NAC president from Gunupur, has dusted off all the BJP's strategies. The results are expected to be reflected in the upcoming general election. It remains to be seen how independent candidate Shiv Prasad Gowda's run will be in the upcoming municipal council elections.
