International Women's Day is celebrated by the Indian Workers' Union
The International Women's Day is celebrated by the Raigarh District Indian Workers' Union. On the occasion, International Women's Day was observed in 11 blocks of Rayagada district, with district leaders Jayanti Padmalaya Sahu and Mrs. Usha Rani Das gathering at Gajapati Chowk in Rayagada to raise awareness about women. Arriving at the park, a procession was organized by the Indian Workers' Union.The chief guest at the event was Shri Yogeshwar Das, State Secretary and District in-charge of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Mrs. Bidulata Huika, State President of the Adivasi Manch, as the keynote speaker, Ms. Bhagyashree Mishra as the guest speaker and Kishore Kumar Sahu, a lawyer as the guest of honor. Khageshwar Singh joined in and spoke on the role of women in nation-building and women's empowerment.
