Press Union celebrates Mother's Day Distribution of clothing to 30 senior citizens
The Press Union of Rayagada District celebrated Mother's Day on February 14 with 25 inmates of the Senior Citizens' House of the Shakti Institution in Housing Board Colony, Rayagada. Fifteen elderly people living in the house were distributed sari and 10 old people were given lungi and towels, while lunch was provided for them.The function was presided over by Subash Chandra Surya, President, Press Union, Rayagada District 4, and was presided over by Union Adviser Shiv Narayan Gowda, Vice President Alaram Bhatra, Srinivasa Mohapatra, General Secretary Vijay Kumar Maharana. Mr. Surya, in his speech, begged the inmates of the Senior Citizens' House to give them a chance to help them in the coming days.Mr Gaud, the union's adviser, also said that the blessings of senior citizens were a gift to all. On February 14, today's youth celebrate Valentine's Day by admiring the culture of foreign countries, while activists and journalists from the Press Union of Rayagada District are celebrating Mother's Day in the company of senior citizens.
