Rohit Sharma passes fitness test
Good news for Indian cricket fans. Rohit Sharma, the captain of the T20 and ODIs, has passed his fitness test. Rohit Sharma will now play in the Twenty20 and one-day series against the West Indies.
The selection committee will announce the team for the one-day series on Wednesday evening. Rohit Sharma will lead the team as captain. Just before the South African tour, Rohit Sharma's knee muscles were strained and he dropped out of Test and limited-overs cricket. For the past few days, he has been at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, where he is recovering and working on fitness.
Under the BCCI's new rules, players who are excluded from the team due to injury are required to pass a fitness test. Now, after passing the fitness test, Rohit Sharma will now be fully available for the one-day series against the West Indies, the T20 and the Test series against Sri Lanka. The series between India and the West Indies will begin in early February.
